Wednesday Addams, the protagonist, a cello player, a weird natured girl who can be thought to have zero Emotional Quotient from her demeanor and behavioral issues is taken to Nevermore Academy by her parents after her expulsion from many schools.
Wednesday's concern and reactions for her brother's well being and her revengeful attitude for those who humiliated her brother proves to be indeed notorious in the beginning episode.
Her parents, her roommate Enid, school Principal Weems and her Uncle add humor and weirdness to the series. The casting is done with good precision taking into account the weirdness and the mystery lingering throughout the story.
Her roommate and other students in the Nevermore Academy, the normie teacher and the outcasts students all play a tremendous role in bringing out a tinge of mystery, fear, chaos etc. in the story.
The costumes are superb, especially that of Wednesday and her roommate Enid, both showing the opposite traits of teens; one being colorful and the other black and white and their bond as true friends proves to end on a touching note in the first season.
